RJ on Ninja Assasins

Friday, November 27th, 2009

This is one time where I 100% agree with the critics. sheez man Ninja Assasins gets .5 stars out of 10. It was BAD.

The first scene of the movie opened up with some stupid scene in a laundramat and ended with loads of fake blood oozing out of a washing machine (pun intended). gah! and the rest of the movie was made up of really dark fight scenes where you couldn’t see anything except bodies getting cut in half or legs getting cut off or random appendages getting sliced off in one fell swoop.

Eh this movie was junk I 100% recommend that you do not see it. If you still decide to see it then I am sure I will have big fat I told you so as soon as your done watching it.

Oh and Jerk Turkey for thanksgiving was amazing!

Peace out!

I am pissed at rottentomatoes.com or maybe I am pissed at movie reviewers in general, I don’t know. What I know is that I am pissed. I recently watched two great movies, Terminator Salvation and Transformers: Revenge of the fallen. I went into the movie with the right mindset and judged the movies based on what they were supposed to be and they were great. But on Rotten Tomatoes they were not that great. Terminator Salvation is currently rated at 33% and Transformers:Revenge of the Fallen is rated at a paltry 22% .WTF?

Below you will see rotten tomatoes “consensus” on Terminator Salvation

Consensus: With storytelling as robotic as the film’s iconic villains, Terminator Salvation offers plenty of great effects but lacks the heart of the original films.

WTF? lacks heart? these people obviously fell asleep at the midnight showing because not only did it have the heart of the original films the whole damn film was about the human heart, physically and metaphorically. These critics they are ridiculous. I don’t know who writes the reviews for these movies on rotten tomatoes, I think the first ones are by approved critics and the rest are by random people, but whoever they are they are crazy wrong.

Now below I have added in the “consensus” on rotten tomatoes for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Consensus: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is a noisy, underplotted, and overlong special effects extravaganza that lacks a human touch.

underplotted? overlong special effects? human touch? yes I agree! but this is what makes the movie so great! jeez have these people ever actually seen the original transformers cartoon? Optimus Prime’s trailer would fly out from behind a bush when he transformed. the plots were all about stopping whatever extremely stupid thing Megatron came up with. You don’t go into a transformers movie expecting the plot to be on par with something like Shawshank Redemption. It is a friggin movie with robots who transform into cars for Christ’s sake. whatever I am pissed.

When I looked at the yahoo ratings for Transformers 2 I got even more annoyed with “professional” movie critics. Professional critics gave the movie a C-, while yahoo users gave it an A-. If you are getting paid for your opinion your opinion had better be based on what people seeing the movie will think damnit! otherwise why would I bother reading you crap! When I went in to see Transformers 2 I turned off my brain and prepared for the wonderful special effects, stupid humor, and plot that would make no sense. That is what the movie is supposed to be!  here is the yahoo page for Transformers 2.

Gah! I hate professional movie critics, in fact I hate critics in general. I have gone to so many friggin super expensive restaurants that got good ratings from these so called critics and guess what the restaurants sucked. I want to get paid for my BS opinions. It is my opinion that Averatec makes the best laptop ever! go out and buy one and see if you think that was a good statement.

Whatever that is all. This is the Ranting Jamaican signing off from Taipei, Taiwan.

P.S.
please don’t go buy an Averatec laptop. Well you can buy their netbook. Their netbook is just a rebranded MSI Wind. But other than that STAY AWAY! I had an Averatec a while back, I think it gave me second degree burns on my lap.

RJ on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

So today I got a chance to see Transformers: The Revenge of the Fallen. Good God it was good! There are some really cool characters added in this movie that will make a lot of hardcore transformers fans from the original show really happy. I was like “Holy Amazing Grace that’s ********** and that’s *******!” But sadly no Omega Supreme. But after seeing the new characters that showed up in this movie I think they could pull off some form of Omega Supreme.

As with the first transformer movie the CGI was wonderful. It was not until half an hour after the movie that I first thought about how all of the Transformers were CGI. They looked so real that I didn’t even question their existence it was quite nice.

I went into the movie with pretty low expectations for the plot. Maybe this is why I loved it but who knows maybe the plot was actually good. The first movie’s plot was not horrible but it didn’t really catch my interest. The plot of the Revenge of the Fallen did catch my interest I thought oh wow the pyramids? Really? can you say Stargate?. The plot was full of moments were I was thinking “oh hell no! they didn’t!” but they did. And beware, there were quite a few deaths but it was all good in the end.

But really you don’t go to a movie like this for the plot. It is an action movie. I went because I wanted to see cool robots and explosions. But I got a bonus. In the last movie you got to see one major optimus prime fight scene, this one had three! and boy oh boy the fights were very very nicely done. Optimus Prime pwn3d those fools, but Omega Supreme is still better.

The second transformers movie took one small step away from the 1980’s cartoon. It was probably because of the involvement of a large number of different world cities. But in the beginning these conspiracy theorists talk about the alien robot attack in “LA.” In the first movie it was Metro City, like in the cartoons. It was obvious that Metro City was actually Los Angeles but they kept the name from the cartoon. Now I guess they are not worried about keeping with the cartoons names and junk. As long as they keep the names of the transformers I don’t care.

To give you an idea of just how good it was in the scheme of things I would say that Transformers:Revenge of the Fallen is sandwiched between Iron-Man and Star Trek ( the new Star Trek that came out in 2009).

I could type for hours and I still would not run out of great things to say about this movie. All I really need to say is this was a great movie and it is worth the $12 you’ll pay for the ticket. Fortunately for me my ticket to see transformers 2 was only $250 NTD (about $7.80 US) AND that included popcorn and a drink, Taiwan’s low cost of living is an amazing thing.

One last thing! I want to see Omega Supreme in Transformers 3 I will be very very sad and upset if he is not there.

That is all. Peace out.
